UFC Fight Night Hall vs Silva Preview and Picks

Dlo’s Fight Prediction Record: 4-1

Uriah Hall vs Anderson Silva

Talk about a dud… there I said it. This main event will be a slow and boring affair. Long gone are the days of

Anderson Silva marching forward with his hands down, dipping and dodging punches. Both fighters are

not known as high volume strikers, and more known for picking/choosing their spots. Especially

in Hall’s case, looking for the highlight reel knockout. I think what we will see is basically a low volume

kickboxing match, where whoever lands the more damaging blows, will take home the decision.

Anderson’s whole game has always been his speed a precision, which at this point in his career, has

completely evaporated. Look for Hall to stay patient and land enough significant strikes to take home

the boring decision.

Bryce Mitchell vs Andre Fili

This is an interesting fight as Fili looks to once again break into the Featherweight rankings. This fight

really comes down to who can dictate where the fight will take place. Bryce Mitchell has excellent

takedowns and has an exciting ground game, with his BJJ black belt. Fili is the far superior striker

with powerful kicks, and his ability to switch stance, can present many problems for fighters. Fili has just

been too inconsistent throughout his career for me to have any trust in him. Mitchell has enough power

in his hands to at least be respected on the feet until he can score a takedown. I do think he will

eventually catch Fili against the cage, and score a takedown, where Fili is in big trouble. Look for Mitchell

to try and score yet another twister submission finish.

The Pick: Bryce Mitchell 2nd Round Sub

Maurice Greene vs Greg Hardy

This is a tough fight to call Maurice Greene is extremely slow, but is very good in the clinch and on the

ground. Greg Hardy is starting to find his way as a fighter. He is a super athlete with superior

speed to the rest of the heavyweight division. It will be interesting to see the improvements he has

made in his game since his last fight in May. If Hardy is able to stay away from the clinch and off the

canvas, I think he will be able to use his speed and power to score a devasting highlight reel KO.

The Pick: Hardy 1st Round KO
