Four-time World Champion Canelo Alvarez is officially a free agent. What the hell was Oscar De La Hoya thinking? How in God’s name do you breach contract with one of boxing’s biggest superstars, who is considered by many to be the #1 pound-for-pound boxer in the world?
Good for Canelo. I’m happy that he did the right thing. DAZN was shit anyways, I mean be real…everyone streams DAZN fights anyway. Oscar De La Hoya started saying stupid shit like wanting to make a comeback at 47 years old. Why don’t you know..focus on the fighters that you promote..you silly silly man. I’d love to see Canelo team up with Bob Arum and sign with Top Rank. They already have most of boxing’s biggest names, might as well add another to the list. I wouldn’t be too surprised if Canelo signs with Al Haymon, the mans track record speaks for itself. All I know is that Canelo is going to get PAID and represented by an actual promotion company this time.
Word on the street is that Canelo is targeting a return to the ring December 19th against IBF Super Middleweight titlist Caleb Plant who fights for Premier Boxing Champions.
