Congratulations to Novak Djokovic for Winning the ATP Italian Open. I would’ve much rather seen Diego Schwartzman win this match, Im a sucker for a Cinderella story, Who isn’t? Novak Djokovic, a player I truly admire for his skills on court as his serve return, insane flexibility are his best weapons. I also respect him and his story coming from Serbia but as a tennis fan theres some issues. I despise to put him on the TV when non tennis fans are around. He is bad for tennis in my eyes. We barely get any press in this sport and when we do it will be from the biggest most prominent top players. (Federer and Nadal you guys are doing great!). As a struggling sport theres no appeal with his arrogant interviews, awkward yells and whines between points, weird shirtless moshing during a COVID-19 event, hitting a line judge in the throat with a tennis ball in anger, then proceeding to appeal the call saying “You can give a game penalty, you can give a set penalty, you have many options. She doesn’t have to go to the hospital for anything.” So your reasoning for why you should not be thrown out is because the ball that you hit, hit someone and because she didn’t have to get sent to the hospital the lights should stay on and you should continue to play? Novak, I wouldn’t want to play with a pissed off line judge with a neck welt roughly the size of my scrotum calling my lines. The sense of excruciating entitlement from the World #1 is quite prevalent. We again see his entitlement appear from an old encounter and simple question. We picked quite an interesting interview from 2017 perfectly foreshadowing this very incident
It defiantly didn’t snow during the 2020 US Open but we did see a suspension.
PS Nick Kyrgios is 2-0 H2H versus Novak you can’t consider him the best in the world if he has never beaten Nick 😉
